Hopi Bowl is created here in beautiful Redwood Lace Burl from northern California. The Hopi bowl form has long been a favorite ceramic shape that Mel translates into the medium of wood.

Redwood Lace Burl has exquisite colors and swirls including dormant bud eyes and annual layering.  These attributes along with the glorious reddish brown hues are part of what makes Redwood Lace Burl so prized by collectors.   Redwood Lace Burl is currently one of Melvin's favorite woods.
