| The Hopi
Indians created a distinct form which has been central to
their ceramics for centuries. Melvin pays tribute to this pottery form and the
American Hopi Indian culture in his Hopi Series vessels, many of which are in major
museums and corporate collections throughout the world, including The Bowater Corporation,
Knightsbridge, London, England, the US News and World Report corporate
collection, the Renwick Gallery of the National Museum of American Art, and the White
